A weekly release digest that ran for a year
Framed as an OP Stack consulting site. What actually accumulated is _posts/: a year of weekly OP Stack release digests.
The hard part of a digest like this is defining the unit. OP Stack releases are spread across several repositories on their own cadences, so “this week’s releases” is a judgment call before it is a list. Then turning a changelog into something readable is the real work, because a diff dump is not a digest and nobody reads the second one. Event-driven pieces sit alongside the weeklies, like the 16a operator-control upgrade.
The slug scheme changed mid-series, from op-stack-releases-week-30 to
op-stack-weekly-37. Free at the time, and permanently not free afterwards for
anything that linked to an earlier one.
_includes/faq-schema.html and structured-data.html are hand-written JSON-LD
rather than a plugin, which on GitHub Pages is not a choice, the plugin
whitelist decides it, and template-level work is the only lever left.
Still being pushed to. The digests deserved tagging and a feed and got a blog, which is the mismatch worth catching earlier.
